One night during my senior year in college I had a vision of a painting, a complex extrapolation of a geometric visual style I had been working in. I made a rough sketch, then a few months later fleshed it out a little bit and started building the painting. Unfortunately, the design proved to be so complex that choosing the colors was almost impossible, so the painting was shelved and remained that way for about a decade. But about a year ago, after copying the design to my computer, I began working with it again. The computer allowed me to gain much better color control, and after working with it on and off for several months, I arrived at the final design of Time and Relative Dimension in Space >
I'm currently making revisions to the canvas and hope to have the painting finished by the end of March.
